Bettie Ann (Ballard) Lindsey Yeatman, age 90, of Fosters, died March 17, 2018 at Glen Haven Nursing Home. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sylvan United Methodist Church, in Fosters with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services in the church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marion H. Lindsey, parents, Walter and Ophelia Ballard, sister Frances G. and husband Buddy Yeatman, brother in law Horace Powel, and niece Suzanne Ray Powell. Survivors include daughter Nikki (Ralph) Moore, son Robbi (Louise) Lindsey, grandchildren, Michelle (Doug) Alford, Butch (Stephanie) Moore, Robbi Lindsey, Jr., (Samantha), step-grandchildren Michael (Theresa) Yeatman, Joel Yeatman, and Leslie Yeager; great-grandchildren, Eli, Caleb, and Seth Alford, Brandon and Ethan Moore, Sealy Lindsey, Edith Lindsey (sister-in-law), niece Deayn Paul, nephew Sam (Darleen) Powell, and special cousin Edwin Sellers. Bettie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always praised God for her family, and how God Blessed her during her life. Bettie was state drummer for two years while she was in the eleventh and twelfth grade which she was very proud of. She graduated from Tuscaloosa Country High School in 1946. She was a member of the Eastern Stars at the Romulus Lodge for several years, and a member of Sylvan United Methodist Church. She retired from R. L. Zeigler Company. She also was active when the Fosters/Ralph Vol. Fire Department first established by calling the fire fighters by telephone before we had radios. Pallbearers will be Butch Moore, Dr. Doug Alford. Willie Rogers, J.J. Jones, Frank Burns, and Lawrence Fair. Honorary pallbearers are Mrs. Sue Rogers, members of Sylvan United Methodist, Fosters/Ralph Vol. Fire Department, Glen Haven Nursing Home staff, Dr. Brian Wilhite, Dr. William Hill and friends of the Fosters, Ralph, and Romulus community, and Hospice of West Alabama staff. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Cemetery Fund at Sylvan United Methodist Church, c/o Melinda Bailey, 15318 Sylvan Loop Rd, Fosters, AL., or Hospice of West Alabama.
