Bobby Anthony

Bobby J. Anthony, age 74 of Bankston, passed away on July 5, 2023, at Grandview Medical Center. The family will hold a private service.

Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, J.R. and Wynell Anthony.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Gail Anthony; daughter, Denise (Nathan) Yates of Northport; son, Derek (Cassandra) Anthony of Bankston; sister, Debra (Lynn) Taylor of Bankston; brother, Billy Anthony of Bankston; grandchildren, Carley Anthony, Blake Anthony (Morgan Wiginton), Emery Yates; great-grandchildren, Kopen McCluskey, and Beckam Anthony.

Bobby was born in Fayette County, he lived in Birmingham for a short period. He and his family moved to Bankston when Bobby was a teenager. He attended Hubbertville High School and was a graduate of the class of 1967. He met his loving wife of 54 years at Hubbertville School. The two raised their family together in Bankston.

Bobby was a draftsman/engineer at Continental Conveyer for over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family, going fishing, traveling, spending time at the drag strip, and working on race cars.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Anthony, Brent Anthony, Jared Taylor, Nathan Yates, and Blake Anthony.
