Carolyn McGee age 87 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. Services will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duffie Lee Wiggins and Erdeal Pinkerton. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Riley McGee; daughter, Sharlene Stough of Hubbertville, Sherry McGee White (Robert) of Pelham, and Sandra M. Hindman of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Tim Foster and Dustin Stough; great-grandchildren, Hunter Foster, Cole Foster, Kennedy Stough, and Sawyer Stough. Carolyn was born in Fayette County on December 19, 1930. She attended Mt. Vernon School for nine years. She later attended and graduated from Fayette County High School in 1949. She married Riley McGee on March 12, 1951, while they were attending Livingston State Teachers College. They had three children together. She attended and was a member at Kennedy Methodist Church where she was also baptized. She attended Mt. Vernon Methodist Church and later Fayette First United Methodist Church. Carolyn worked at Kennedy High School and mentored many children. Carolyn’s special hobbies included her plants, flowers, and pets.
