Clyde Daniel Pendley, age 78 of Berry, passed away April 13, 2018 at home under hospice care. Services will be Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Berry Church of Christ with Norman Berry officiating and Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directing. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Gladys Pendley, brother, Sidney Pendley, and son Eddie Joe Pendley. Survivors include his wife, Billie R. Willingham Pendley; daughter, Catherine A. Pendley (James); grandchildren, Matthew Pendley, Laura Baker (Aaron), and Kristy Stamper (Mark); and great grandson, Jett Aaron Baker. Clyde was born in Berry to Lonzo and Gladys Pendley. He attended Berry Elementary School after half of a year at Bankston. He graduated from Berry High School in 1958. After graduation he immediately joined the Navy and served four years until a car accident caused him to leave. He married Billie R. Willingham in 1963, they were married for fifty-five years, one month and three days and they had two children, Eddie and Catherine. He was an avid Alabama fan. Pallbearers will be Jim Hoobler, Warren Morgan, Rodger Handley, Jimmy Madison, Sam Jent, and Robert (Bobby) Pendley. Honorary pallbearers are Alabama Hospice Care of Jasper, members of Berry Church of Christ, and members of Berry High School Class of 1958. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alabama Hospice Care of Jasper.
