Jerome was born on January 7, 1959, to Dalton and Loretta Kelley in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After Jerome graduated from Louisville High School, Louisville Mississippi, he served in the US Army. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. He worked with Southern Natural Gas, El Paso Gas, and later with General Electric where he retired.
Jerome was preceded in death by his father Dalton J. Kelley, Sr. He is survived by his wife Robin Stokes Kelley of Columbus GA, their son Christopher Michael Kelley (wife Vanna) of Snellville GA, his mother Loretta Kelley of Bankston AL, his sister J. Suzanne Kelley Bouchillon (husband Craig) of Melbourne FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jerome was a big-hearted man and had the most beautiful smile. He was a very private person, but always witty and fun. He loved his puppies Gladys and Lily with all his being. Jerome enjoyed traveling to many interesting locations across the globe. He loved cooking and trying out new recipes in his Insta-Pot and on his grill. He enjoyed a diverse selection of music, ZZ Top, Kiss, The Gaithers, The Statler Brothers, and on occasion a little Taylor Swift when no one was looking. Jerome was a huge fan of the University of Alabama, NASCAR, freshly baked bread, smoked brisket, and fried apple pies. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace in the arms of our Savior.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Kelley, Chad Stokes, Craig Bouchillon, Issac Bouchillon, Joey Kelley, and Temple Bowling.
