Daphne accepted Christ at an early age. She is a member of McConnell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church of Fayette, AL, where she enjoyed preparing pots of good food when she didn’t feel like attending. She enjoyed listening to live church services and gospel music.
She was a graduate of Fayette County High School. She loved to cook and worked in multiple restaurants close by.
Daphne was known as “Big D” to her friends and family. She had a smile that could light up the darkest room and make people smile when they were feeling down.
Daphne is preceded in death by her grandparents, and her parents, Jerry and Joyce Nalls.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Kendrick Nalls of Bibb County, AL and Markesh Franks (Christy) of Vernon, AL; one brother, Jerry Nalls (Valerie) of Fayette, AL; four sisters: Patsy (Wade) Reese of Tuscaloosa, AL, Nancy Doss and Marie Boglin both of Fayette, AL, and Sandrea Jenerette of Detroit, MI; one uncle, Leonard Jones (Linda) of Fayette, AL; four aunts: Devora Coleman and Annie Mae Harris both of Fayette, AL, Darlene (Marvin) Butler of Detroit, MI, and Melloweese (Willie) Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; twelve grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a very Special Love, Billy Jones of Fayette, AL, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends.
