Deloris F. Thompson

Deloris F. Thompson, age 83 of Fayette AL, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Fayette Medical Long-Term Care. Services for Mrs. Thompson will be Friday, November 22, 2024, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Kaleb Hall and Bro. Todd Clipperd will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Deloris Thompson is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Edward Thompson, parents; Verna Galloway and Robert Galloway, biological father; David Franks, and brothers; McDavid Ray Franks and Larry Galloway.

She is survived by her son; Timothy Edward Thompson, granddaughter; Stephnie Nichole Thompson, daughter-in-law; Michelle Morris, sister-in-law; Eunie (Vickie) Vee Franks and dear friend of 11 years; Henry Burchette. 

Deloris F. Thompson was born on February 09, 1941, in Brilliant AL. She graduated high school at Fayette County High School. She then went on to college to get a RN nursing degree. She was a nurse for 43 years at the Fayette Nursing Home. In her free time, she loved to dance, go yard sale shopping, and loved to eat at different restaurants. Deloris was a member at Fayette Church of Christ. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
