Dewey Ray Pinion

Dewey Ray Pinion, age 84 of Berry, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center. The family will have a private service. Mr. Pinion was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Pinion and Ora Crowe Pinion. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Pinion; sons, Dennis Pinion (Darlene) and Jimmy Pinion (Kathy); brother, Ralph Pinion (Mary); half-sisters, Elizabeth Brock and Christine Pinion; grandchildren, Caitlin Posey (Keith) and Ryan Pinion (Megan); and great grandchildren, Hayden Posey, Hagen Posey, Will Pinion, and Hank Pinion. Mr. Pinion worked at Arvin for thirty-three years, a school bus driver for fourteen years, and was in the National Guard for many years as well before retiring. Mr. Pinion was a deacon at Shady Grove Baptist Church and was a devoted Dad and Granddad. Pallbearers are Ryan Pinion, Rayford Simmons, Joey Simmons, Randall Simmons, Tommy Bryant, and Joe Taylor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church.
