Donald Vice, age 50, of Moundville, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Services will be Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Alta Baptist Church with Bro. Eric Milligan officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Wilson Vice, Maggie Vice, Elton Pendley and Audra Pendley. Donald is survived by his wife, Karen Rena Vice of Moundville; daughters Kaeleigh Breann Gray (Richard) of Gordo, Al, Kristin Nicole Vice of Gordo, Al and Elizabeth Brook Blackburn (Jerry) of Berry, Al; sons, Kyle Ray Vice (Steven) of Birmingham, Al, Mason Andrew Vice (Allison) of Nauvoo, Al, and Johnathon Wesley Mordecai (Megan) of Winfield, AL; sisters, Connie Elaine Carpenter (William) of Moundville, Al; brothers, Robert Jerome Vice of Northport, Al; parents, Lewis Donald Vice and Linda Sue Vice of Akron, Al; grandchildren, Riley Grace Vice, Carsen Andrew Vice, Kohlton Benjamin Gray, Kasen Kane Blackburn, Kaiser Finn Blackburn, Kollins Claire Blackburn, Rylan Cockran, Kyleigh Elizabeth Mordecai and Easton Reid Mordecai. Donald was a Christian, praying man who loved God and his church family. He was a devoted son, husband, dad and granddaddy. He enjoyed farm life, gardening, testifying in church and making a home. Donald never met a stranger and was a kind soul. Donald was employed at West Alabama Mechanical dutifully for five years. He loved his work, boss, co-workers, neighbors and community. He was always ready to lend a hand. Donald was an organ donor to so many but gave his heart to Karen, August 7, 2015. Pallbearers are Jerry Blackburn, Kyle Vice, Mason Vice, Joey Bain, Dwayne Earnest, Allen Gilreath, Wesley Mordecai and Nevin Tidmore. Honorary pallbearers are Brentley Porter, CICU, brothers of Alta Baptist Church and friends of WAM.
