Donna Redmond

Donna Sue Redmond, age 74 of Kennedy AL, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at her residence. Services for Mrs. Redmond will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Church. The family invites the friends to a gathering at the big pavilion at the Fayette Park following the service for a meal. Bro. Hagood will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; Clarance and Martha Howton, brother; Stevie Jo Howton and Randy Howton, and sister; Lynn Howton.

She is survived by her husband; Danny H. Redmond of Kennedy AL, daughter; Christy (Daniel) Powell of Winfield AL, son; Jerry Wayne Howton of Kennedy AL, sisters; Kathy (Jim) Jones of Berry AL, Ann Poulter of Louisville KY, Bonnie (Fletcher) Porter of Fayette AL, brother; Roger (Billie) Howton of Cavool MO, and grandchildren; Karlie Jade Powell of Winfield AL and Danny Ray Powell of Winfield AL.

Sue loved to be outdoors, fishing, camping, and riding dirt roads with her family reminiscing old house places. She loved her family gatherings where they would play rook and have her homemade tortillas, refried beans, and fried chicken.

Sue enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee with the sunrising and watching her hummingbirds in the day. She loved her dogs and they sure loved her. She was known as “Momma Sue” and “Sue Sue” to family and friends. Sue will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Danny Powell, Jerry Howton, Daniel Powell, Mark Hammack, Seth Lann, and Matt Powell.
