Eddie Cannon

Eddie Cannon, age 65 of Vernon passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Generations of Vernon. Services will be Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Eddie Richardson Cannon was born to the late Jefferson and Della Cannon on January 22, 1955. On Sunday, February 23, 2020, he departed this life in Vernon, AL. He graduated from Fayette County High School in 1974. Later he decided to move to Ft. Worth, TX where he fathered three beautiful daughters, Eddie moved back to Fayette, AL to help out with family and started working at K.F.C. He was a man of little words but met you with a big heart and smile. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Jessie A. Cannon and Willie Mae Cannon, Oscar Sudduth and May Eunice Sudduth; parents, Jefferson Cannon and Della Sudduth Cannon; sister, Christine Cannon McPherson; daughter, Tasha Cannon; brother, John Allen Cannon; brother-in-law, Clarence McPherson; niece, Monica Cannon and nephew, Zebulum Cannon. Eddie leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Kathleen Cannon Nalls (Steve); five brothers: Jefferson Cannon, Jr., David (Faye) Cannon, Robert L. Cannon, Joe L. Cannon and James O Cannon; two daughters: April McPherson Overton (Roderick) and Christa Hubbard (Christopher Wiseman); six grandchildren: Areauna Wiseman, Dwayne Wiseman, Jr., Alisha Adams, Tosha Overton, Tatyana Overton and Tyler Overton and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
