Eddie is preceded in death by his parents; Billy Williamson and Merlene Williamson, and son; Tyler Williamson.
He is survived by his ex-wife; Karen Williamson, daughters; Hannah Williamson and Andrea Harbin, sisters; Karen (Jeff) Beams and Laronda (Doug) Channell, Jerome (Ashley) Williamson, and grandchildren; Dalton Essary, Nala Belle Pearson, Greenleigh Harbin, Haley Harbin, Emma Harbin, and Acelynn Ervin.
Eddie graduated from Northside high school in 1978. His friend's list is long and wide. He attended Livingston university and was a member of delta chi fraternity. Some say animal house was based on his time there. We will never know. He has worked since he was 14 years olds in the woods along with his family and friends and all who knew him, loved him. even those of us who cleaned up behind him when he came home filthy. He was an athlete and played every sport in high school from baseball, basketball to football. Many will remember hearing from the intercom,” Williamson on the play!”
Eddie was a hard worker, a daddy, a son, a brother, a cousin, a friend to many and papa to those he held closest in his life. He was always present at the school functions if his kids were involved. He made sure Dalton had a deer field ready to hunt each fall. He was there for the birthdays for Acelynn and Nala belle no matter how far he had to go to get there. He loved his kids and grandkids with his entire soul.
Some will remember him from high school and think of his antics and smile. Some will remember him from college and some will think about all the crazy cars and trucks this man owned in his lifetime.
He was generous to a fault and he was the most real man most will ever know.
You will hear people talk about his blonde curls and those crazy glasses he was never without unless he was in the water doing what he loved.
some will remember the motorcycle rides. he traveled across the entire US with friends on week long trips to see other friends across the nation who shared his passion for the open road. Few can say they let their hair down like Eddie did when he was on his bike. Some of us will remember the old mini bike he had as a little boy.
Some will think of him as a grown man and some will still see that thin, little boy with a huge smile which was lopsided and could be thought of as a smirk.
He was working with the Phillips logging crew when he passed away but many people have worked side by side with him over the years in the woods and he was good at it.
He loved to hunt and fish and there will be some members of the community who will miss the fresh deer he would supply them with each winter.
Many will miss just being with him but all will be happy to have known him during his lifetime here on earth.
Eddie’s last post on social media said “It is never too late to be the best you can be.”. May we take Eddie’s LIVING and his parting words to heart and may we all strive to be encouraged to be our best version of ourselves--to do like Eddie and inspire those we love the most to overcome hardships and life’s struggles with hope, determination and joy. That is the legacy Eddie Williamson left behind.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Essary, Mike Poole, WC Donour, Jerome Williamson, Cacey Beams, Steve Simmons, Randy Simmons, and Todd Gilliam.
