Elouise Duckworth

Jennie Elouise Duckworth, age 96 of Fayette, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Fayette Medical Center. Services will be Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Harmony Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Rodney Brazil and Bro. Danny Thompson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Lee Duckworth; parents, Emit Robertson and Sarah Elizabeth “Lizzie” Robertson; brothers, Daniel Robertson, Waldon Robertson, and Curtis Robertson; sisters, Lounell Howton and Virgie Lea McMillan; and great-grandson, Sean Lucas Reynolds. She is survived by her daughter, Jennie Lea Flynn; sons, W.L. Duckworth and Jerry Duckworth; grandchildren, Shane Flynn, Michelle Stripling (Tim), and Wayne Duckworth (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Nicole Stripling, Carlie Flynn, Hunter Stripling, Kinsleah Flynn, Ava Duckworth, Harper Duckworth, Hadley Duckworth, and Ellie Duckworth; and great-great grandchild, Beau Flynn. Elouise was born February 4, 1925, to Emit and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Robertson. She was a selfless woman always putting others before her needs. She not only believed the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, but she truly lived the rule. Always teaching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by example. We were all blessed to have her in our life.
