Eulene Smallwood

Eulene Smallwood (Bootsie), age 84 of Slidell, Louisiana passed away March 16, 2018 at Heritage Manor of Slidell. Services will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Victor Bonner officiating at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with interment to follow at Flatwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zivery Smallwood; her parents, Ollius and Ardelia Earnest; son, Randall Lynn Smallwood; sister, Eloise Gurganus; and granddaughters, Keisha Smallwood and Brandy Smallwood. Survivors include her son, Ronald Lee Smallwood (Hiedi) of Pearl River, Louisiana, Ricky Lane Smallwood (Gina) of Chalmette, Louisiana, and Roger Laroy Smallwood of Chalmette, Louisiana; brothers, Milford Earnest of Oakman, Paul Earnest and Dwight Earnest, both of Berry; and her grandchildren, Mellisa Clavier, Wendy Smallwood, Ricky Smallwood, Jr., Tiffany Smallwood and Tyler Smallwood; and eleven great-grandchildren. Eulene was born and raised in Flatwoods, Alabama, which is where she met her husband, the late Zivary Smallwood.  After they married she and her husband moved to Chalmette, Louisiana where they raised their four sons.  She will be fondly remembered for her love for her family and friends, her love of the slots and her amazing chicken and dumplings. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor of Slidell and St. Catherine’s Hospice for their compassion and excellent care.
