Hazel Hester Pinion was born on January 15th 1929 in the town of Berry. She was born to Minnie Collins, of Berry, then at the age of 5 months old adopted by Ed and Ophelia Josephine Gray.

Hazel was a loving mother and grandmother to 4 daughters, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Outside of spending time with her family, she found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was sewing and quilting, fishing, or exploring the countryside where she grew up.

Hazel loved her family dearly, but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was saved at Pleasant Hill Church on October of 1987. On January 14, 1990, Hazel became a member of Trinity Church of God then later was baptized in Morrisons Pond in June 17, 1990. Hazel returned to Pleasant Hill on August 9, 2020 and remained there until her passing.

Hazel brought her family up, instilling Christ’s values in them. She was a pillar of strength and wisdom, offering guidance and support through life’s triumphs and trials. As we gather to honor Hazel’s life, let us celebrate the impact she made on everyone and the memories that will forever be in our hearts.
