Jennifer McCrory

Jennifer Renee McCroy, of Moundville, passed away Wednesday July 19th at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa after an extended illness, she was 47 years old. Jennifer is survived by her husband Jason and three wonderful sons; Chandler, 24 of F.E Warren AFB Cheyenne, WY, Ethan Everette, 17 of Moundville and Collin Andrew, 8 of Moundville. She is preceded in death by her father Derrell O’briant of Tuscaloosa. Jennifer was born on May 25, 1976 at Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a Master’s Degree from the University of West Alabama in Livingston. Jennifer has been an elementary and middle school educator for over 19 years working in both the Tuscaloosa City and Hale County School Systems. Jennifer was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. A Requiem Mass is planned for Saturday July 29th at 10:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa. The service will immediately be followed by entombment in the columbarium on the church grounds. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations be made to Catholic Social Services of West Alabama.
