Jerry Cook, age 71 of Boligee AL, passed away on Monday, January 01, 2024, at his residence. There will be a graveside service for Mr. Cook on Friday, January 05, 2024, at Studdard Crossroads in Fayette AL, at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Jeremy Donald will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.
Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents; Hershel and Wynell Cook, brother; Donald Cook, sister; Barbra Sanders.
He is survived by his wife; Terri Cook of Boligee AL, sons; Jeremy Cook of Berry AL, and Christopher Swindle of Fayette AL, brother; Terry Cook of Tuscaloosa AL, and three step children he loved dearly.
Jerry Glenn Cook was born January 10, 1952, in Carbon hill AL. He attended Berry Elementary and Berry High School. He graduated from Berry High School in 1971. He married his wife that he loves dearly in 2008. He loved hunting and fishing and looked forward to Peewee football season where he coached the 8–10-year-olds. He loved his Alabama football team. He also was a number one fan for Dale Ernhart. As mentioned about hunting, he was a serious turkey hunter, and no turkey would get past him. Furthermore, anything that had to do with history he would listen to real closely because he loved history from wars to old house places in Fayette AL. Jerry Cook or also knowns as "Fatcat" and "Cookie" will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
