Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Parr and Lola Gilstrap Parr. Rev. Parr is survived by his daughter, Debbie Smith of Seymour, TN; sons, Calvin Parr and Rodney Parr of Knoxville, TN; siblings, Mildred Pritchett, Ruth Mauney, Ray Parr (Jackie), Bonnie Kizzire, and Patty Westbrook; and grandchildren, Tyler Petz, Aaron Parr, Alexis Parr, Gabriel Parr, and Bethani Parr. Jerry Parr was a man of strong conviction. He loved his brothers and sisters and often talked about his mom and dad. He was a God-fearing man and a preacher of God’s Word. He has preached in nearly every state to the lost and seeking to see souls saved. He wasn’t a perfect man, but he did give his heart to God and his grandkids. When life itself was giving him lemons he decided to make lemonade and share it with his grandson, Tyler. Tyler was his son’s first child and he fell head over heels in love with him. As the years passed and more grandkids were made, the more of his live spread. As a preacher he fought his fight and ran his race and did it with honor and pride. https://my.gather.app/remember/rev-jerry-parr
