Jimmy Dodson

James Wilbert Dodson, age 70, a lifelong resident of Fayette, AL passed away on January 29, 2021. Private family services will be held. Jimmy was born in Fayette and was the son of late Charles H. and Sara Hollingshead Dodson. He was a graduate of Fayette County High School Class of 1968 and attended the University of Mississippi. He was the owner and operator of Dodson Oil Company for many years. Jimmy was very kind and considerate to his friends and customers. He was a former pilot, certified diver, and served in the Air National Guard. He enjoyed golf and Ole Miss football. He always had a special place in his heart for animals. He was loved by many friends and family. He was survived by wife, Mary Jane Dodson; sister, Elizabeth “Libba” Dodson (William Maury, Jr,), Lyon of Mobile, AL; brother, Charles H. Dodson, Jr. (Cynthia Chase) of Mobile, AL; sister-in-law, Betty Ann (Tom) Prybyloski of Arley, AL; and six nephews and three nieces. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Disease Research.
