Joyce Campbell Fields, age 83 of Tuscaloosa, died Saturday, November 13, 2021. There will be a graveside service at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ralph, AL at 2:00 pm on Wednesday November 17, 2021. Jason Wyatt of Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home will handle all arrangements. She was the daughter of William Hughes and Grace Allen Campbell who were originally from Greene County. Born in Jefferson County, Joyce lived most of her early life in Ralph, Alabama. She attended Tuscaloosa County High School and the University of Alabama. Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Lynne and Jane. Daughter Lynne is married to Jon Christopher and they live in San Antonio, TX. They have a son and two daughters. Son Jon Jr. lives in Cincinnati. Their daughters are Marion Grace who lives in Shreveport and Katherine who is with her husband, Eric Bishop, also have San Antonio as their home base. Daughter Jane is married to David Wheat and they live in Wisconsin. Their son Jake lives in Florida. Their daughter, Kelley Joyce is married to Kyle Geideman and they live in Cincinnati. In spite of having systemic lupus for more than half her life Joyce was able to have a rich life because the Lord blessed her with the help of her family, friends and co-workers. She worked for more than 35 years at Gulf States Paper Corporation and considered her friends there part of her family. She was also a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and she accepted Christ as a young person at Bethel Church at Ralph. In addition to her parents, Joyce was also predeceased in 1991 by the father of her children, Waylon Fields, formerly of Tuscaloosa and Texas.
