Larry Watkins

Larry David Watkins, age 62 of Northport AL, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his residence. Services for Mr. Watkins will be Saturday, November 09, 2024, at Original Church of God, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service. 

Larry David Watkins is preceded in death by his parents; Fred Watkins, and Myrtle Watkins, son; John D. Watkins, brother; Jackie Dewayne Watkins, and grandparents. 

He is survived by his wife; Julie A. Watkins, daughters; Amie L. Watkins, Jamie K. Lackey, and Katylin K. Harris, son; Damiel J. Watkins, grandchildren; Jordyn Watkins, Tequilla Harris, Brandy Harris, Jonathan Harris, Dillion Fife, Kahlil carter, Gunner Lackey, and Rayleigh Lackey, great grandchildren; Katylin Harris, and Harrison Kelly.

Larry Watkins, as I have spent 41 years with was a hard worker, loving husband, a good father, and grandfather. He dedicated himself to live life to the fullest, and for the most part he did. We all will miss and love him dearly; we know he wouldn't want us to dwell on his passing but instead keep his spirit in our hearts and think of him in our everyday passings and special occasions. He would want us to keep living our lives to the fullest and to move forward not stay in the past and try to be happy.
