Lennon Caine, age 80 of Fayette, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. Services will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Palestine Baptist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Caine and Omie Nalls Caine; wife, Evie Jo Coleman Caine; sister, Johnnie Mae Caine Wilson; brothers, Nover Lee, Jerome, Marshall Cain, and Kelly Jerome Caine. Mr. Caine is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Lynn Caine; sisters, Nover Jean Caine Hughes, Reala Caine Nalls (Nathaniel), Linda Gail Caine Nash (Rosevelt), Catherine Caine Montgomery (Joe Neal), Nancy Caine Harris, and Jacqueline Caine; brothers, Felix Caine (Nadine), Nolen K.D. Caine (Wanda), and Thurman Caine (Sharon); grandchildren, Alaya Caine, Washington Caine, and Ashley Caine Shobe (Kevin); and great-grandchildren, Carlie and Caleb Shobe. Lennon Lester Caine was born November 5, 1940 to the late Will Caine and Omie Nalls Caine in Fayette. Lennon attended West Highland High School in Fayette. A faithful member of Palestine Baptist Church in Fayette as well. He worked in the Textile business for many years. He sang with a gospel group in Fayette called The Mighty Bright Stars along with his brother, Felix Caine and friends, Charlie Nalls, James Donald and Truman Wilson. Pallbearers are his nephews, cousins, friends, and his favorite pastor. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Palestine Baptist Church.
