Lluvia Gonzalez

November 4, 1994 — May 26, 2020

Lluvia Iracy Gonzalez, 25, of Tuscaloosa, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020. Lluvia Gonzalez, age 25 of Tuscaloosa passed away Monday, March 16, 2020. There will be a memorial service Monday, June 1, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Father Rick Chenault will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church columbarium. She was born on November 4, 1994 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, the daughter of Francisco and Victoria (Alvarado) Reyes. Lluvia was a loving, fierce, and compassionate person who loved to be silly. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She had energy about her that even after just one encounter with her, you would remember her for life. Lluvia loved spending time with her family and friends, and she loved talking about all things Harry Potter. She enjoyed traveling, exotic foods and intersecting Spanglish into all conversations. If you knew her well or barely at all, she always left you thinking. Whether it was about how absolutely beautiful, ridiculously funny, or just downright inappropriate she was, she left her mark. Lluvia was a wonderful little sister always showing support and having her bigger siblings’ backs, especially her brother Jose’s. The relationship she had with her parents was idyllic as they were her first best friends. Her and her husband, Jorge, had a world wind romance filled with fairy tales moments, culminating with the birth of their gorgeous daughter. Most of all she loved and adored her daughter, Sofia, who was her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her face, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Lluvia wanted nothing more for her than to have a wonderful life. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Luis Reyes and Erick Reyes; her grandparents Maria Rodriguez and Apolinar Alvarado. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Sofia Gonzalez; Husband, Jorge Gonzalez; Parents, Francisco and Victoria Reyes; Sister, Irasema Quezada Hammock and husband, John; Brother, Jose Quezada; Grandmother, Concepcion Campa; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will continue to stay with us all through memories, and all the laughs she forced us to endure. She left the pain, but also left us all and we will never be the same again. Now she is no longer in pain, yet we will continue to hurt. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ALS Association Alabama Chapter.
