Louise Jacobs Fleenor Dill, born on March 2, 1927, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away in Northport, Ala., on December 31, 2024, at the age of 97. There will be a crypt side service Friday, January 03, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service. Robert Burns will be officiating the service. 

Louise enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, particularly Alabama's football team. She loved listening to music, traveling, and studying her Bible. She took great pride in her family and was known for her quick wit. Louise was a longtime member of Holt Baptist Church and later attended Buhl Baptist Church alongside her friend, Willie Coleman.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, William Jacobs and Callie Marcum Jacobs; her husbands, Walter Earnest Fleenor and Charles Edward Dill; her siblings, William Jacobs, Lela Dell Crocker, Murphy Jacobs, Moody Jacobs, Seaborn Jacobs, Gladys Jacobs, A.J. Jacobs, and Virginia Burns; son-in-law, Ray Haynie, and her dear friend Tootsie Shirley Ayers.

She is survived by her children: James Earnest Fleenor (Margie), Brenda Fleenor Haynie, Linda Fleenor Martin (Sid), and Jon Fleenor (Margaret). Louise was a proud grandmother to Sonya Fleenor Goins (Mark), Jim Fleenor (Stacey), Bryant Fleenor (Marianne), Ashley Palmer, Kimberly Haynie Mitchell (Mike), Brandon Haynie (Sonja), Katherine Martin Parker (Chris), and Sarah Martin Blakeney (Jon). Her great-grandchildren include Wesley Fleenor (Tara), Blake Fleenor, Tyler Fleenor, Margaret Goins Tu (Justin), Andrew Goins, Abby Fleenor, Anna Mills Fleenor, Collin Mitchell, Henry Haynie, Liza Parker, Cal Parker, Katherine Blakeney, and Amelia Blakeney; and her great-great-grandchildren: Whitlee Fleenor, Waylon Fleenor, Sawyer Tu, and Margot Tu. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her beloved sister-in-law, Juanita Jacobs.

Pallbearers will be Jim Fleenor, Bryant Fleenor, Richard Swindal, Robb Burns, Rockey Jacobs, and Jon Blakeney.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ann Thomas, Jackie Booker, Ernestine Johnson, the entire staff and nurses of Forest Manor Rehab, and Allyson, faithful chaplains and staff of ACG Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
