Mary Underwood

Mary C. Underwood, age 74 of Tuscaloosa, passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Mr. Scott McCown officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Annie Clements; siblings, Buddy Wallace, Elizabeth Townley and Anne Causey. Mrs. Underwood is survived by her husband, Joe Underwood; son, Allen Underwood (Joy); brothers, John Wallace (Joyce); grandchildren, Natalie, Lillian, Mallory and Katherine. Mary was a loving wife to her devoted husband, Joe, for 52 years. She adored her son, daughter-in-law and 4 beautiful granddaughters. She taught elementary school in the Tuscaloosa County School System for nearly 30 years. She had a big heart for others especially her students. Mary was a member of the Church of Christ for over 60 years. She is now resting peacefully with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven.
