Michael Dewayne Franks

Michael Franks, age 58 of Fayette AL, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his residence. Services for Mr. Franks will be Friday, July 26, 2024, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Robert Parrish will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Michael Franks is preceded in death by his wife; Tracy Franks, father; William Franks, brother; James Franks; aunt; Jean Kizzire, uncle; Cleburn Kizzire, and grandparents. 

He is survived by his daughter; Tabitha (Chesley) Sudduth of Fayette, AL, sons; Kenneth Woodrum Jr. of Winfield, AL, and Michael A. Franks of Milport, AL, mother; Geneva Franks, brother; Ricky Franks of Fayette, AL, grandchildren; Tia Woodrum of Fayette, AL, Jessica Woodrum of Winfield, AL, Carolina Caver of Rogersville, AL, Madalyn Woodrum of Rogersville, AL, and LeAndre Porter of Fayette, AL, and nieces; Haley Franks of Fayette, AL, and Chelsy Franks of Mobile, AL.

Michael Dewayne Franks loved hunting and fishing especially fishing at Destin, FL. He enjoyed Nascar and Alabama Football also, but most of all he loved his grandchildren beyond measures and was always there when needed by his family or even his friends. He worked at NTN Bower in Hamilton, AL, from 2007-2017 until retiring due his health issues. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Allen Franks, Ken Woodrum, Ricky Franks, Jacob Craig, LeAndre Porter, and Jason Henderson. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be UAB Hospital, Fayette Medical Center, Kirkland Clinic, and Dr. Yerby’s Office.
