Myles William "Mike" Farrington, age 85 of Berry AL, passed away on Tuesday, February 04, 2025, at DCH of Tuscaloosa. Visitation will be Friday, February 07, 2025, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, February 08, 2025, at Berry Methodist Church, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Kathy Griffith and Rev. Austin Olive will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.
Mr. Farrington is preceded in death by his parents; Myles C. Farrington and Nettie Bell Misner Farrington, and grandparents; Myles W. Farrington and Ruth Dobbins Farrington.
He is survived by his wife; Sandra Simmons Farrington; daughters; Laura (JL) Franklin and Lisa (Eddie) Cooler, sons; Myles C. (Lesa) Farrington, Richard (Randi) Farrington, Steven (Cheryl) Farrington, and Michael Farrington, grandchildren; Julia (Darrell) Cooler, Myles C. Farrington Jr., James Pate, and Christopher Pate, and great-granddaughter; Cassandra Cooler.
Mr. Myles Farrington was born on February 08, 1939, in IL. He was the best husband to his wife for 53 wonderful years. He was not only the best husband, but he also was the best father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. Mike was an avid golfer and was proud to say that he made a hole in one. He also loved to travel with his wife, they have been to London, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, the Caribbeans, Alaska, and Germany. Mike has a special place in his heart for animals. He owned and raced horses where he won many races. He coached football at Pembroke Optimist where he taught his sons how to not only be players but to be leaders and coaches. He was an active senior member at Berry Methodist Church, Pembroke Pines Optimist Club, and the American Legion. Mike will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Blake Tyree, Devan Tyree, Steven Tyree, Jason Logan, Randy Logan, Jerimiah Chaney, and Robby Pendley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be RMA brothers.
