Olen Pendley

Olen Wilson Pendley, age 86, of Fayette passed away at Fayette Long Term Care.  Services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with David Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Lillie Pendley; wife, Lobita Pendley; brothers, Brady Pendley, Lonzo Pendley and Vester Pendley; sister, Effie Perkins; and great-granddaughter, Kenadie Grace Martin. Survivors include his son, Jeff Pendley (Linda); granddaughter, Linda P. Martin (Zack) and great-granddaughter, Abbie Martin. Olen was born December 4, 1932 to Tom and Lillie Roberts Pendley.  He married Lobita Black on April 12, 1951 in Columbus, MS.  Olen worked for FayCo and as a mechanic for Dodson Oil until his retirement.  He loved church and attended singings as long as his health allowed him to.  He would witness to everyone when he was in the hospital and Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care.  He is at home in heaven with mom.  Go rest high on that mountain. Honorary pallbearers are employees and staff of Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care, Alabama Hospice Care of Jasper, and Dr. Fred Yerby.
