Peggy Poole

Peggy Poole, age 88 of Fosters AL, passed away on Saturday, March 01, 2025, at Hospice of West Alabama. There will be a graveside service Thursday, March 06, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ralph AL, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service. Bro. Mark McGee will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service. 

Mrs. Poole is preceded in death by her husband; Charles Poole, brother; Don Lancaster, and parents; TJ Lancaster and Dubbie Lancaster. 

She is survived by her daughters; Carla King (Tim), and Patti Poole, grandchildren; Wesley King (Tyler), and Jacob King (Heather), great grandchildren; Allison Claire Whatley, Anna Faith King, and Emmy Joy King, niece; Melinda Sanders, nephew; Brad Lancaster (Kelly), great nieces; Chasity Sanders, and Emma Grace Lancaster, great nephew; Joshua Lancaster, great great niece; Bellamy Rose Lugo, sister-in-law; Margene Lancaster.

Peggy Lancaster Poole loved the beach. She enjoyed going down to the Alabama coast as much as she possibly could. She was a lover of lighthouses and seashells, and above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends. When anybody walked through her door, her first question was, “you want something to eat?” Making sure the people she loved were fed and nourished was her love language. She also loved flowers and working in her garden. In her younger years, she drove Bus 57 for the Tuscaloosa County School System, where she made a lasting impact on her former employers, fellow drivers, and former students. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who were blessed to know “Mrs. Peggy.” 

Pallbearers will be Brad Lancaster, Joshua Lancaster, Bill Poole, Gary Poole, Rockey Browning, and George Robertson

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr Keith Debell, Dr John Crew, Denise Burns, Friends and family in the Fosters, Ralph, and Jena communities, and all former bus 57 students.
