Retired Chief of Police Ralph Olive Sr.

Retired Chief of Fayette Police Ralph Crawford Olive, Sr., age 77 of Berry passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center.  Services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Joe Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Shady Grove Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, George Olive; mother, Bessie Olive; and brothers, Ray Olive and Wayne Olive. Survivors include his wife, Linda Olive; daughters, Lori Edge (Billy) and Tammy Boyd; son, Ralph C. Olive, Jr. (Kelli); brother, Jerry Olive (Evelyn); and grandchildren, Tristan, Maddie, Liz, Ethan, Sara Blake, Brooke, Braysen, Tyler, Owen and Porter. Pallbearers will be David Tyner, Greg Durr, Jessie Olive, Jim Cabiness, Danny Jenkins, and Chris Beasley. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Fayette Police Department.
