Randall “Randy” K. Burns of Fosters, Al died peacefully at home with his wife by his side on July 18, 2024.
Randy was born on April 3, 1947, in Ralph, Al to the late Aubrey and Edna Mae Burns.
In 1962 while riding the school bus he met the love of his life Dorothy Ann Taylor. After graduating from Tuscaloosa County High in 1965, he wed Ann in December 1966. He attended the University of Alabama and graduated in 1969 with a business degree. He made a lifelong career in real estate and on any given day you could find Randy in the woods, especially during turkey season. Randy was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He served many roles in his church such as Sunday school teacher, singing in the choir, and serving on the cemetery committee.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Edna Mae Burns, and his brother Jimmy Burns.
Randy is survived by his loving devoted wife of 57 years, Dorothy Ann Burns, Fosters, Al. His son Aubrey “Kent” Burns (Heather) Ralph, Al. His daughter Amy Lee Posey (Scott) Fosters, Al. Sister Janis Mae Wood of Colorado Springs, Co. Granddaughters Rebecca Lyn Posey, Emilee Marie Burns and Allie Taylor Burns. Special friend Ronnie Steadman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 20, 2024, at Shiloh Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 11 am with the service starting at 12 pm with Brother Dan Arsenault and Reverend Jim Smith officiating. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.
Honorary Pallbearers Reuel Huffman, Ted Hellums, Don Presley, Shiloh Baptist’s Sunday school class and Men’s group Duckworth Morris Real Estate.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Shiloh Baptist Cemetary Fund.
