Rebecca "Becky" Gartman Koss

Rebecca "Becky" Faye Gartman Koss, age 66 of Florence, formerly of Fayette, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at home.  Services will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Bill Harper officiating.  Burial will follow at Fayette City Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Willie Fay “Sis” Gartman. Survivors include her sisters, Julia “Judy” Young and Teresa “Tootsie” Brook (Archie); brother, Michael Alexander “Mickey” Gartman (Elisa); special friend who was just like a daughter to her, Dawn Shelton, nieces and nephews, Ashley Brook, Annah Roberts, Alexis Fuller, Elisabeth Lindsey, and Michael Gartman; and several great-nieces and nephews. Rebecca was a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in education.  She was very hard working and very devoted to her family and friends especially her mother and her grandmother. She spent many years working for her church and especially enjoyed taking part and serving with the senior group and in the children’s ministry at church. Honorary pallbearers are Henry and Malone Roberts.
