Richard R.D. Swindle

Richard R.D. Swindle, age 83 of Fayette, passed away Friday, April 1, 2022. Services will be Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Swindle and mother, Stasha Swindle; and brother, James L. Swindle. He is survived by his wife, Sue Swindle; sons, Steve Daniel Swindle (Sindie) and Mike Swindle (Michele); sister, Dorothy Clark; brother, Thurman Lee Swindle (Mary); grandchildren, Alli Taylor (Josh), Matt Swindle (Leia) and McKenzie Swindle; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Richard was born June 18, 1938. He was a wonderful Christian man who always served God with his whole heart. He loved his family so much and was such a great influence on others around him. He enjoyed spending time with his sweet wife, Suzie, and playing with his great-grandchildren who were precious in his sight. Pallbearers are Eugene Taylor, Lee Swindle, Randall Swindle, Eddie Brown, Phillip Thacker, and Matt Swindle.
