Ruby Nell Rodgers

Ruby Rogers, age 77, of Fayette, passed away on Saturday, September 2, at Northwest Regional Health Center. Services for Mrs. Rogers will be on Saturday, September 9, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 2:00 P.M. with visitation one hour prior. She will lie in state on Friday, September 8, from 12:00 - 3:00 P.M. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel.

Ruby Nell Rodgers was born to Christine Whitson Moore and Daniel Wilson on January 16, 1946. She departed this life on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Northwest Regional Hospital, Winfield, AL.

       Ruby accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Gibson Chapel Baptist Church until her passing. She was employed by the Cotton Mill of Winfield, AL where she worked for 28 years until the company closed. She was also employed by Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center of Fayette, AL until she retired after 10+ years.

       Ruby and Tony Rodgers were united in Holy Matrimony in 1992. She was a sweet, loving, caring mother, not only to her children but also to the community. Many have passed through her home.

       She is preceded in death by her parents, Christine Whitson Moore and Daniel Wilson; six siblings: Eddie James Wilson, Robert Wilson, Tim Wilson, Jerry Wilson, Louise Mullins and Gary Moore; a son, Aubery Lee Enis; one daughter-in-law, and two sons-in-law.

       She leaves to cherish her memories, her spouse, Tony Lee Rodgers of Fayette, AL; two daughters: Barbara Wilson Lee of Memphis, TN, Brenda Enis Kirksey of Tuscaloosa, AL; two sons: Ronnie Ennis and Steven Enis (Mornea) both of Fayette, AL; one sister, Terri Moore Cole of Columbus, MS; two brothers: Willie Wilson and Charlie Ed Wilson both of Fayette, AL; one sister-in-law, Sally Rodgers; 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; special friends: Rhonda Pace, Anita Cochran, Brenda Cook, Lena Faye Hughes, and Ellen Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
