Shelby Lene Hardy Watts

Shelby Lene Hardy Watts, age 71 of Fayette passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Fayette Long Term Care. Services will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Will Corbett officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hardy and Zelma Dodson Hardy; and siblings, Elvano Hardy, Elzie Hardy, Evelyn Watkins and twin sisters who died at birth. Ms. Watts is survived by her former daughter-in-law, Jeanne Watts; grandchildren, Ashley Watts, Alyssa Taylor and Travis Watts; great-granddaughter, Amelia Watts; son, James Watts; and a host of other family members. She worked at the Fayette Cotton Mill until it closed. Then obtained her Associate's degree from Bevill State Community College. She worked at Fayette Elementary School until her stroke in 2007. Thank you to Dr. Christian and staff at Fayette Long Term Care for loving her as their own family these last 14 years.
