She gave of herself and was the self-appointed overseer of Calvary's shut-in population. She made herself available to arrange beautiful flowers for many who were hurting, as well as her church family. She worked at First Alabama Bank for 23 years, and served on the Teller Committee of Calvary for many, many years. Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have unwittingly entertained angels... Her spiritual gift was entertaining, and she did so meticulously. She opened her's and Jim's lake home to many, many college students and loved them, 'adopting' many, continuing relationships for years, to enjoy their children as well. She loved to travel, and as a result had very close friends in Germany that she and Jim share their lives with to this day. As a grandparent, she was unrivaled. Spoiling her littles was her joy! Breakfast in bed, trips to Disney, and jet skis were a few of the memories that they will all cherish.
