Thomas Junior Markem

Thomas Junior Markem, age 84 of Fayette, AL, passed away on March 20, 2023, at his home. Services for Mr. Markem will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at our chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Liberty Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Markem was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Markem; parents, Lewis Samuel Markem and Johnnie German Jackson; brothers, Jessie Markem, Franklin Markem, and Harvie Markem.

He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Valentine, and Frances Mullins; brothers, Willie Markem and Joseph Markem.

Thomas Junior Markem was born May 28, 1938, in Winston County, Alabama. He was the 5^th sibling of 8. In 1956, he moved to St, Louis, MO, and worked in Corvette Factory for 10 years with GMC, he later moved to Bowling Green, KY, and worked on an assembly line for GMC for a total of 30 years for the company. After retiring, he traveled a lot around the United States sightseeing. In 2017, he moved back to Alabama residing in Fayette, where he became a member of the Fayette First United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Ben Markem, Dalton Markem, Heath Byars, Kyle Byars, Brian Markem, and Mark Valentine.
