Mike and Tina ended their journey here on earth suddenly on Jan. 29, 2019 together. They touched many lives together in their earthly adventures: Harley rides, beach trips, airplanes, farming, road trips, celebrations at their home, the lake, other folk’s homes. Everywhere they went was the place to be. They both shared their love and joy with others. They were a perfect pair and had a wonderful life together. They both had their own special smile. They were so positive and all-inclusive as can be seen by all the different kinds of people they shared their life with. Tina met absolutely no stranger. She made family, not just friends. She told people she loved them and was always willing to do whatever she could to make their life easier, better, fun. She brought people together. Mike was not quite as colorful and loud as Tina, but his heart was just as big. His ingeniousness led him to have a successful business, a full and interesting life, and a special kind of sense of humor that sometimes only Tina could understand. He wanted the best for everyone. They got married in 1987. They worked hard to grow their family and careers. Tina retired from teaching in the Tuscaloosa City school System as a teacher who made a difference in the lives of her students. She was so loved and a favorite teacher of many of her former students. She continued to make contact with and help her former students along their path in life. Mike had an entrepreneurial spirit that made him constantly think of bigger and better ways to make life happen. His business eventually employed his entire immediate family, which is exactly what his long-term plan was. He wanted to be the best provider, and he was. Tina loved thrifting, junking, cooking new recipes, and redoing old furniture. She had an eye for seeing the best potential in both things and people. Mike had plenty of hobbies such as Harley motorcycles, boats, planes and cows. They loved their family more than anything in this entire universe. They lived life to the fullest joy. Although they will be truly missed, Mike and Tina will live on in the hearts and lives of all of us left behind. Preceded in death were both Mike and Tina’s grandparents, and Mike’s sister Cindy. Mike and Tina left behind two wonderful children, Lacie (Omayya), and Jeremy. Mike left behind his parents, Alton and Dorothy Williams, and sister Stephanie (Gary) Poole. Tina left behind her mother Jane (Bobby) Pearson, and her father Herman Smith, her brother, Kevin Smith, her stepsisters Wendy (Tony) Barrett and Robin. Honorary pallbearers include: Chase Garner, Robert Tyler, and all other employees of Energy Technical Services, Rusty and Cindy Lee, all of Tina’s school family and her students, and any person that loved Mike and Tina. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter in honor of Mike and Tina Williams to 3140 35th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401, or The Salvation Army at 1035 29th Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 in honor of Mike and Tina Williams. Their story on earth as ended but their love and joy will live on in so many friends and family.
