Tommy Chambless

Tommy Chambless, age 74 of Fayette, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sand Springs Church Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Chambless and father, William Chambless; and wife, Gean Chambless. Mr. Chambless is survived by his daughter, Patricia Kay Westbrook of Berry AL; sister, Justeen Parker of Kennedy; brother, Ted Chambless of Fayette; and grandchildren, Valarie Faith Westbrook, Skyler Knewton and Trey Marcum. Mr. Chambless moved all over the place but chose Fayette as his home. In his early life many people knew him for shooting pool with him. He chose to stop playing pool and started a business selling antiques from his building downtown. He not only had a wonderful life but an exhilarating one. For the most part, he was in very good health but was diagnosed with bone cancer where later in 2021 he beat it and was cancer free. His health quickly decreased and was a shock to us. Let us not be sad as he has started his journey home, but to be glad he is resting in peace now and to wish him a safe journey. That he is gone to be with his wife, Gean.
