Verna Anne Skurka Londono

Verna Anne Skurka Londono, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018. Services will be Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.  Verna was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but she was raised in Duncanville, AL.  A graduate of TCHS, 1966, and University of Alabama with her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education. She was very proud to have taught the Choctaw Indians in Mississippi, high school in California, and English to foreign speakers at Daytona Beach Community College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Survivors include her husband, Jaime Londoño; son, V. Warren Londoño; four siblings, Kathleen Skurka, Teresa Skurka Davis, Lee Albert Skurka and Marie Skurka Miller; one grandson, Logan Hawke Londoño; and other relatives.
