Willie Sam Phillips

Willie Sam Phillips, age 90 of Tuscaloosa, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. A private graveside service and burial will be held at Elrod Community Cemetery with Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directing. He was preceded in death by his wife on October 7, Mary Eileen Phillips. He is survived by his daughters, Debra Nichols (Rock) of Tuscaloosa and Donna Lilly (Charlie) of Daphne; grandchildren, Padgett Watkins III (Lara) and Sarah Miesse (Seth); great-grandchildren, Eileen Miesse, Adalyn Miesse, and Samantha Watkins; and sister, Lillian Morrison. Mr. Phillips was a long-time employee of B.F. Goodrich, an ordained minister, and a veteran of the Korean War. Honorary pallbearers are Tuscaloosa Veteran’s Medical Center, Pine Valley Retirement Community, Manderson Cancer Center, Forest Manor Rehab and Nursing Home, Dr. Regina Harrell, and Dr. Hinton and staff.
