Winnie Bobo Maddox, age 93, of Fayette, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018. The service will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fayette City Cemetery. Mrs. Maddox was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Bobo and Mertie A. Bobo; husband, Robert L. “Bob” Maddox; two sisters, Aythur Freeman and Ruth Curtis; two brothers, Lewis and Thomas Bobo; son-in-law, John Pouncey. Winnie is survived by her son, Robert W. “Bobby” (Diane) Maddox of Tuscaloosa; two daughters, Diane M. Pouncey of Fayette and Nancy (Jack) Hankins of Fayette; grandchildren, Mayor Walt (Stephanie) Maddox, Sara M. Harpole, Jack M. (Denita) Hankins, Kelly H. (Michael) Kolb; nine great-grandchildren, Forrest, Will and James Harpole, Cooper and Carter Hankins, Taylor and Eli Maddox, and Conner and Carson Kolb; and special niece, Debbie (Steve) Herring. Winnie was a member of Central Church of Christ. She was also the former owner of Winnies Boutique and worked at Robbie’s in her later years. Pallbearers are Tim Bobo, Forrest Harpole, Cooper Hankins, Carter Hankins, Michael Kolb and Jack M. Hankins. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Harold Breitling, Dr. Martha Jo Christian, CCICU staff and nurses at DCH in Tuscaloosa and caregiver, Ann Young. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL.
