David Connell

David Lee Connell, age 57 of Belk, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at Fayette Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Gordo. Rev. Buss Ray Reynolds and Rev. Henry Trull, both family members will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. David was a graduate of Gordo High School where he lettered in football. He loved fishing and this past year really enjoyed watching his granddaughters play ball and he was an avid Alabama football fan. David was a quiet man who loved his family deeply. Even though we, who are left, grieve his passing, we know he no longer suffers. David was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Clifton Connell; his brother, Billy O’Neal Connell; his grandparents, Sam and Julia Connell and Dollie and Leslie Conner. Survivors include his only son, Jeremy Chad Connell and his wife, Kristie; four grandchildren, Kori, Kacy, Katy and Conner Connell all of Millport; his Mother, Eunice Connell of Glen Haven Nursing Home; sisters, Shirley Lipscomb (Norman) of Fosters; Patricia Kramer of Tucson, Arizona; brothers, Tony Connell of Enterprise, AL; Steve Connell of Belk; and a host of nieces and nephews.
