Judith “Judy” Lee Davis, age 79 of Tuscaloosa, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Heritage Health Care and Rehab with her husband, Richard “Dick” of 52 years by her side. Services will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church Chapel. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel is directing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laverne and Bernice Smith, brother, Duane Smith and sister-in-law, Barbara Smith. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband; sons, Kevin Davis (Lisa) of Atlanta, GA, and Lance Davis (Julie) of Jackson, MS; and grandchildren, McKenzie (Robert), Jordan, Reece, Aubrey, Meredith all of Jackson, MS and Cassidy of Atlanta, GA. She was born in 1942 in Rochester, NY and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1960. She then worked for the Eastman Kodak Company. Judy met Dick in 1966 and they were married in 1969. They had two sons, Kevin, born in 1970, and Lance, born in 1972. In 1975 the family moved to Syracuse, NY. They enjoyed camping in the Adirondack Mountains, Maine, and especially Cape Cod, MA. In 1985, Judy and her family moved to Tuscaloosa. For many years, she and her family enjoyed attending Alabama basketball, gymnastics, baseball, and softball games. Until she became limited by various health issues, Judy’s life was centered around her family and activities at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Judy loved family gatherings especially their annual Christmas traditions. Her interests included collecting Hummel and Willow Tree figurines. Despite her own health concerns, Judy would regularly inquire about other friends and relatives who were also ailing. Judy’s family would like to thank Dr. Regina Harrell and Dr. Dawn Bryant and the staff at Heritage Health Care, especially Station 3, for their wisdom, patience and understanding in providing skilled, compassionate care for Judy.
